Mittens, mittens, and more mittens

Hi Knitterly Friends!!
Here is my first post of many regarding knitting, other needle arts, craft shows and gardening. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures and would love to hear from you so please comment freely.

I've been busy knitting mittens lately. I am working on my fifth pair of mittens and would love to share the pattern. It is very simple and was given to me by a knitty friend.

I've been making this pattern: http://www.chroniclebooks.com/Chronicle/excerpt/0811835332-e2.html http://www.chroniclebooks.com/Chronicle/catalog/0811835332-mittens.jpg
I have it in the book Knitting Pretty, but it is on line as well.

Soon I will post some photos of these mittens and the variations that I have made. I am using Cascade 220 and JO JO Land sock yarn for my mittens. Of course I am busy making my Christmas gifts this time of year and will happily post some photos of the various projects I am in the midst of. I know many of you have been asking me for photos so do check by soon, perhaps Sunday I will have some free time for photo shoots.

Life can be very hectic and with that in mind I want to encourage my knitty friends to take some time for themselves this holiday season. As we all know Halloween kicks off the entire season and knitty folks are working feverishly in anticipation of the Christmas season. It's a big deal I agree, but remember you don't want to burn out...pace yourselves and take some down time just for you.

Note: The Harvest Festival is coming to Sacramento in a few short weeks. November 16-18th this year it will be at CalExpo.
